Mr. Heckman helps individuals, businesses, and non-profits solve problems through practical and creative legal counsel. Mr. Heckman practices in the areas of Estate Planning; Probate and Trust Administration; Real Estate; and Tax-Exempt Organizations, including Private Foundations and Public Charities. Mr. Heckman also provides corporate counsel to financial institutions and advises businesses in all stages of formation and development.
Mr. Heckman earned his law degree from the Ohio State University Moritz College of Law and his undergraduate degree from Miami University. While in law school, Mr. Heckman served as a managing editor of the Ohio State Law Journal and represented the law school as a member of the National moot court team. Additionally, his student Note on federal sentencing law was published in the Ohio State Law Journal. Prior to law school, Mr. Heckman taught history and coached baseball at Granville High School. Mr. Heckman is originally from Urbana, Ohio.
Mr. Heckman lives in Granville and enjoys spending time with his wife, Sally, and their three children.
